3 . Write the functions of the following :

(a) Joystick :- Joystick is a pointing device.  It is used to play games on the computer. It is has a long handle which can be moved frequently in for different direction to point or move the objects quickly across the screen. Joystick provides better control than other input devices and does makes it easier to play games.

(b) Printer :-Printer is  is a commonly used output device. It prints the results on the paper . It is used to obtain the hard copy of the results( output ) displayed on the screen.

4 . Mention how computers are used at the following :

(a) Hospitals :-(i) Used to diagnose the diseases of patients.(ii) used to keep records of  patients. (iii) used in microsurgery which helps to recover from wounds/cut very quickly.

(b) Defence :- (i).  Used to track the movement of incoming missile. (ii) Used in mapping and plotting.

(c) Schools :-(a) Helps in fee collection at the counter . (ii) To demonstrate about various topics of different subjects with the help of virtual classroom which includes projector, smart board etc.

(d) Science & Research:-(i) For making Roberts.

(ii) For weather forecasting.(iii) For launching of satellites. (iv) For keeping records of different Research and experiments done in Labs.
