B. WORD POWER
     Certain words used in the text have some sound but different meanings.  e.g. You .......are going there......?(two/too) 
     In context with the meaning, the word 'two' should come in the first place and 'too' in the second.
Similarly, fill in the blanks with the correct word given within brackets:-

  1. The whole class saw a hole on the roof. (hole/whole)
  2. Its not right to write on  the wall. (write/right)
  3. A piece of white cloth stands for peace. (peace/piece)
  4. Every father wants his son to shine like a sun. (son/sun)
  5. See the vastness of the blue sea. (sea/see)
Look at this line from the text :-
where would  the poor bird find enough grain to feed her brood!
Here 'brood' is a collective noun and stands for 'a group of young ones'

find the collective noun used with the following nouns:-
(School   pack   pride   litter   brood)
  1. A litter of puppies 
  2. A pride of lions
  3. A school of fish
  4. A brood of chicks
  5. A pack of wolves
Use the following words in sentences of your own:-
 (a) scatter     - The light go scattered form rain water.
 (b) feed         - The mother is feeding the baby.
 (c) comfort   - This house is made for your comfort.
 (d) accuse     - You can't accuse me.
 (e) approach - I admire your approach.
